Scotland/Menno Middle School Football Season Recap
The Scotland/Menno Trappers middle school football team had an amazing season this year. Coaches Kevin Janish and Jerico Shape helped lead the team to a perfect record of 11 wins and 0 losses. The Trappers worked hard, played as a team, and never gave up. They also won both the Alcester-Hudson Jamboree tournament and the Scotland/Menno Jamboree tournament. It was a season full of hard work, big wins, and great memories.
The Trappers also had some big wins on their way to becoming champions of the Scotland/Menno Jamboree tournament. They beat Bon Homme 16-0 in a tough game. The Trappers earlier in the season faced Platte-Geddes in the championship game of the Scotland/Menno Jamboree and came away with a hard-fought 24-16 victory. The boys played hard until the very end and showed how much they wanted to win. These two wins helped make the Scotland/Menno Jamboree Championship another special moment in the Trappers' perfect 11-0 season!
Coach Kevin Janish said, “It was a great season. Seeing these young men grow and improve made it all worth it.” Coach Jerico Shape said: “I am very proud of this team and everything we did this year. Going 11-0 and winning both tournaments was something special. These boys worked hard, listened to their coaches, and got better every week.“

💗 PINK OUT NIGHT — OCTOBER 13 💗
The Menno Wolves Volleyball team will travel to Hanson in Alexandria on Tuesday, October 13 for a special Pink Out Night in support of breast cancer awareness.
🍴 Pink Out Meal
Enjoy pork sandwiches in the multi-purpose gym from 5:00–7:00 PM. The meal is available for a free-will donation.
🍿 Corn Palace Popcorn Balls — $5 each

Various baskets will be raffled off throughout the evening, including a Christmas-themed basket donated by the Menno Wolves!

🎺 Congratulations to the Menno Wolves Marching Band on their second place finish at the March to the Meridian today!
🎷 They finished their marching season with a strong performance and had the highest marching effect score in our class 👏 🎵 way to put in the work to keep improving all season! 🥁
We just received word that there will NOT be a JV football game on Monday, Oct. 12 due to injuries for the Avon team.
The middle school will now start at 4;00 in Scotland.

Volleyball recap from Tuesday night from the Yankton P&D online.
Canistota 3, Menno 2
MENNO — The Canistota Hawks took down Menno Wolves 22-25, 27-25, 25-20, 18-25, 15-10 in prep volleyball action on Tuesday night.
For the Hawks, Clara Remacle posted 39 digs. Amelia Remacle finished with 19 assists, 17 digs and seven kills. Abigail Keller ended the game with 17 assists and five digs.
For the Wolves, Emmarie Rames finished with 16 digs and five kills. Ervin Schrock tallied 15 digs and three kills. Kylie Guthmiller posted 12 digs, nine kills, three serves and two blocks.
Canistota, 3-16, hosts Irene-Wakonda on Oct. 19. Menno, 2-20, plays Gayville-Volin on Thursday.
The Wolves went five with Canistota and lost a heartbreaker. Thanks to everyone who came out for Pink Out Night and for donating to the Menno Pink Ladies. The total was $183.50.
