Menno NHS Happenings

The Menno Chapter National Honor Society has had a busy 2022-23 year! NHS is made up of Menno juniors and seniors with a minimum 3.0 GPA and show qualities of positivity and leadership within and outside of the school. Throughout the year, students have helped provide community service and peer leadership to the Menno School District. They start off the year planning the Veteran’s Day Program held on November 11th. The work put into this involves planning speakers, making programs, directing people to their seats, and serving donated coffee and bars to all Veteran’s in attendance. Then in December, NHS students put on an Angel Tree Drive to help benefit families in the Menno community during the holiday season. In the spring, students conduct a Penny Wars with the Student Council to help raise money for a community member or organization of the student’s choice. This year, students chose to donate the money to Kenny Wintersteen. Finally, students end the year by setting up and working at a Vitalant Blood Drive. These students are amazing developing young leaders, and we look forward to see all of the good they do in the future!
