**Reminder that Thursday night, August 25th, is parents night for VB & CC – CC will be introduced first followed by VB. We will announce immediately after the JV match. Parents get in free.
With tonight's first home game, students please remember:
I. During the National Anthem, face the flag and stand at attention with your right hand over your heart
II. Be loud! Cheer in a positive manner, show good sportsmanship, respect the players on the opposing team and the officials
III. Limit bathroom and concession breaks to timeouts and breaks in the game
IV. Stay off the playing floor
V. Stand up and clap during school songs
VI. Clean up your area and throw all garbage away. Leave it better than you found it
VII. Do all the same at away games. You represent the Menno community at every school we visit!
First volleyball matches of the season tonight as the Wolves take on Alcester-Hudson in Menno! C match starts at 5:00, JV at 6:15, with Varsity to follow. Grab supper at the concession stand and check out some of our new food options as well. #gowolves
The Trappers first home football game is Friday night in Scotland at 7pm. They would love for fans to line the street between school and the field to cheer on the boys as they walk the route for pregame! The team will be leaving the school around 6:05pm. #gotrappers

Congrats to the Jim River JV Trappers on their victory over Avon 32-0. The middle school were defeated 12-0. Keep working hard little Trappers!
Tuesday morning during 1st hour, each teacher will walk their own class of students through our emergency plans in the event of a fire, tornado, or unsafe person in the building. Teachers will use terminology and procedures during the walk-through that are sensitive to their students specific age group. It is not a live drill. We encourage parents/guardians with young ones to have a conversation with your student(s) beforehand about why we practice emergency plans. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact Mr. Foss or Mrs. Mudder in the school office. Thank you.

Sophmores first lab was a data collection lab. How many drops of water fit on a head of a penny? It was interesting for them to find out how they should do an experiment

Sioux Valley 34, Jim River 14
VOLGA — Jace Christensen threw for two touchdowns and rushed for another as Sioux Valley downed Jim River 34-14 in prep football action on Friday. The game marked the season opener for both squads.
Christensen was 6-of-8 passing for 100 yards, finding Hudsyn Ruesink three times for 57 yards and two scores. Christensen also rushed for a score. Brock Christopherson rushed for 113 yards and two scores in the victory.
Logan Sayler rushed for a touchdown and had an 87-yard kickoff return for a score for Jim River. Kadeyn Ulmer passed for 86 yards, with Brayden Sattler catching 85 of those yards on three receptions.
Sioux Valley hosts Sisseton next. Jim River hosts Woonsocket-Wessington Springs-Sanborn Central in Scotland.
