The S/M Trappers golf team traveled to Burke/Gregory today with 13 kids for their first Junior High and Junior Varsity golf meet of the year. The Trappers had a good day on the links placing 3 kids. In the Junior High division at Burke Golf Club, Joanna Fergen shot an 84 for 15th place and Autumn Rames shot a 70 for 8th place. Junior Varsity played at the Gregory Golf Course where Macy Rokusek fired a 66 and came home with 13th place.
Way to go girls!!!

Menno HOSA had a phenomenal showing at our first ever State Conference! We ended with the following students placing: Will S. - top 10. Ashton M. - top 10. Amanda R. - 3rd. Maggie M. - 1st. Haylee H. and Taylor F. - 1st. Amanda, Maggie, Haylee, and Taylor have now qualified to compete in the National Conference in Houston this June!

Jenaya Brengle, with the SDSU Extension Office, is bringing Chicks in the Classroom to the 4th graders! In 21 days, we will have live chicks!





Congratulations to the Boys and Girls Track Teams yesterday at Centerville!! The Menno Girls team placed 5th with 65 points, and the Menno Boys team tied with Deubrook for 2nd with 91 points and were 1 point out of first place as Viborg-Hurley took first with 92 points. Event winners included:
• Ashton Massey – 100 M Hurdles, Triple Jump, 300 M Hurdles
• Girls 4x800 M Relay – Ashton Massey, Nora Robb, Ellyana Ulmer, Zoe Schaeffer
• Bryce Sattler – Long Jump, 800 M Run
• Hunter Yosten – Shot Put

Menno Relays will be held on Thursday, April 11, field events begin at 9:00-javelin and other FE at 9:30 and running events at 11:30. We have 19 HS teams and 17 MS teams attending. Admission for the meet is $4/adult & $2/students. Activity passes accepted. Concessions by the Menno Music Boosters. Come on out to the Jim Woehl Athletic Complex and Johnny Woehl Field to support our athletes.

Congratulations to the winners of the American Legion Americanism contest. Winners for their original essays are Kaelie D., Lillian L., Olivia S., Ava K., and Callie H. The essay prompt was "What doe freedom mean to me?" Winners for the original poems "Embracing Our Veterans" are Joanna F., Andrew N., Callie H. and Charlotte H.


Ms. Brenna had her students in 6/7 ELA and 8 ELA classes complete a project including making a food truck, menu, and advertisement using several different elements of writing. Students who won the contest were Joanna Fergen (1), Lee Kisely (2), and Will Andersen (3).

Middle school students have been learning about oragami, explosion boxes, rice paper making, knitting, crocheting, and clay sculpting in Mrs. Knodel's and Ms. Brenna's class during the wheel.

Good luck to the high school track team as they compete in their first meet of the season at Centerville today. Go Wolves.
