GAYVILLE — Gayville-Volin had three players with double digit kills in a 25-15, 25-16, 25-11 victory over Menno in prep volleyball action on Thursday.
Maia Achen finished with 13 kills, 13 digs and two ace serves for Gayville-Volin (22-4). Paisley Dimmer posted 11 kills. Aliza Westrum had 10 kills. Britton Scheetz finished with 27 assists and 11 digs. Taylor Hoxeng posted 17 digs and two ace serves. Jolie Westrum had 15 digs and Ayla Dimmer added two ace serves in the victory.
Haylee Hall led Menno with four kills and 12 digs. Joslynn Fischer had seven assists and four ace serves. Ellyana Ulmer had 13 digs and Taylor Freier added 12 digs for the Wolves.
Gayville-Volin travels to Lake Andes to face Andes Central-Dakota Christian on Saturday. Menno, 14-8, hosts Freeman on Monday.

Tonight the Scotland Menno Trappers travel to Avon to take on the Pirates for some Friday Night Football! The game starts at 7pm.

A beautiful day in Irene for the last regular season run. Varsity girls won as a team with Zoe placing 3rd, Ellyana 8th, Nora 15th, Savanah 21st and Briley 21st. Ivana won JV and Hannah 7th. Jaeger 2nd and Egan 9th in JH.

Congrats to the Menno Girls Varsity Cross Country team for winning the I-W meet on Wednesday. Zoe placed 3rd, Ellyana-8th, Nora-15th, Savanah-21st, and Briley-23rd. Ivana won the JV girls race and Hannah placed 7th. Jaeger placed 2nd in the MS Boys and Egan placed 9th. Great job to all the runners.


The Menno School District will run a 2-hour late start schedule on Friday, November 1st, to allow for a staff training to take place that morning. Classes will begin at 10:15am with doors opening at 9:50 and breakfast will not be served. Thank you.


Tonight Menno Volleyball heads down to Gayville to take on the Gayville-Volin Raiders! JV starts at 6:15pm and varsity will follow. Go Wolves!

Updated parade schedule for March To The Meridian on Saturday. Menno will step off on the Nebraska side of the Meridian bridge at 9:05am.


The Menno Wolves Marching Band will finish their marching season on Saturday, Oct 12 in Yankton for the "March to the Meridian."

MENNO — Canistota took down Menno in a five-set thriller during Tuesday’s volleyball action. The set scores were 25-19, 13-25, 16-25, 25-17, and 15-8.
Canistota’s Emma Sandman had 12 kills and 17 digs, Ellie Becker tallied eight kills, 16 digs, two aces, three assists, and a block, Bailey Spicer had 28 assists, 12 digs and three kills, Ember Schenkel tallied 23 digs. while Abby Keller had 17 digs in the win as well.
Menno’s Haylee Hall had eight kills, 11 digs, and two aces, Amanda Rames tallied seven kills, five digs and two blocks, Lexie McNinch recorded five kills, five digs, and two blocks, Joslynn Fischer had 16 digs, 12 assists, three kills, four aces, nd two blocks, while Nora Robb had 13 digs, 12 assists, four kills, and an ace in the loss.
