Congratulations to the local winners of the Voice of Democracy and Patriot’s Pen contests. Fallon Rich will continue in the Voice of Democracy contest. Congratulations to the students who represented Menno High School at the District 2-B Oral Interpretation Contest in Mitchell yesterday. Those who competed were Adie Rempfer – Storytelling; Ervin Schrock – Serious; Zoe Schaeffer – Oratory; Samuel Andersen – Poetry; William Stokes – Humorous; Emmalyn Heckenlaible and Bailey Neuharth – Duet; and Jaxon Stoebner, William Stokes, Zain Kishbaugh, and Samuel Andersen – Readers Theater. Ervin and the RT team will advance to regional competition on Tuesday, November 19 in Mitchell.
Congratulations to Ellyana Ulmer for breaking the volleyball season dig record with 515 digs! The previous record was 486 digs by Ashton Vaith in 2017. Awesome job Ellyana!!

The District 3-B Oral Interp contest is being held in Mitchell today. So far, Ervin advances to regional competition in Serious category.

Tonight the #3 seeded Menno Wolves Volleyball team will take on the #6 seeded Freeman Flyers in the Region 4B Volleyball tournament! It will be hosted in Menno and starts at 7pm. Admission prices are set by the SDHSAA and will be $6/adults and $4/students in K-12. No passes will be accepted.

This week's Senior Spotlight is Desiree Yosten!
Last Wednesday, the volleyball team had some fun completing a scavenger hunt.
The Menno National Honor Society will host their annual Veterans Day Program on Monday November 11th at 2pm in the New Gym. This event is open to the public and all are invited to help us honor and celebrate those who have served our country. Afterwards, there will be coffee and bars served in the Old Gym.
Mrs. Knodel is looking for some costumes for the Christmas Musical. If you have gingham skirts or square dance skirts in smaller sizes or cowboy hats, please let her know if we can borrow them for the musical on Monday, December 9.
Even on Halloween, no one in our school is worried about ghosts because we know exactly who to call...

The SDHSAA is attempting to gather the economic impact data of our state events for the purposes of engaging local chambers of commerce to explore ways to keep costs to families down and to explore cost saving avenues for our member schools. We started this last year with state volleyball and will end it this fall with state football. Your responses are confidential and are anonymously compiled within the IMPLAN Economic Impact computer program. No identifying data will be asked of you or used within the study. We appreciate you taking the time to help us with this undertaking. Your feedback is necessary and appreciated. If possible, please take the survey as soon after your event as possible, as our IMPLAN license runs out shortly after the fall season.
