Time change for Menno and Gayville-Volin volleyball on Thursday, Oct. 6. The JV match will start at 5:30 and varsity will follow. All matches at Gayville.

Krispy Kreme Doughnut Orders can be picked up at the Ag Shop doors Friday morning from 8:15-10:30. If you are unable to pick them up at this time, you will need to make an arrangement with the Junior they were purchased from.

Scotland After Prom will be hosting a fund-raiser event Friday night at the game: chili with all the toppings and water-$5.00 (5:00 p.m. until gone) at the North end of the football stadium; Junior Class will be selling cinnamon rolls-$3.00

Seniors---October 3 through November 30 is Free College Application time in South Dakota. If you have any questions, please contact Mrs. Fischer.

Students are remind that when they are absent for sports, activities, day trips for classes, field trips, band/chorus competitions, etc. they need to pick up a makeup slip in the office.
If a student is missing a full period of class, part of a day, or a full day for a school activity, they need to:
Get a make-up slip from the office before the activity
Go to their teachers
Write down the work they need to make up
Get the slip signed by each teacher for each period they will be away
Turn the slip back to the office
Make-up slips need to be turned into the office before a student leaves for their activity, or they will not be allowed to go to their bus.
Coaches, stop by the office before you leave for games to check that your players have turned in their make-up slips.

Good luck to the cross country team today as they have their final regular season meet at the Irene-Glenridge Golf Course before regions. Meet starts at 3:00.

Menno Band Day will be Friday, Oct. 7. The parade down main street starts at 10:00 am. We have 15 bands including Menno participating. Come on out and support the marching bands. Starting at 11:45, at the Jim Woehl Athletic Complex and Johnny Woehl Field, the bands will have a drumline battle. Awards will be presented around 12:45.

Good luck to the VB teams today as they host the Canistota Hawks. 8th starts at 4:00, followed by the 7th/6th grade. JV begins at 6:15 and then varsity. Please dress in pink as we are having our annual "Pink Out Night". We will have a blanket toss to support our local Pink Ladies group that donates money to area people fighting breast cancer.


If you are interested in becoming a nurse, check out the attached flier in the announcements from Presentation College in Aberdeen. They are running a “Nurse for a Day” event, three separate days on campus and Sophomores, Juniors and Seniors are invited. The next one coming up is to be held on Friday, October 21st. The last one is on Friday, November 4th. This is not a Menno school sponsored event but if you choose to attend you will need to get all your work made up ahead of time.

Congratulations to Ashton on her 4th place finish in Varsity at the Howard Cross Country Meet yesterday. She finished the race in 20:19, over a minute faster than her personal best! Also, Bailey earned an 8th place ribbon in JV. Good job to all!!
