Menno Wolves JV girls basketball had a big win tonight over Bon Homme 36-16. Way to go girls. Keep working hard.
February 1, 2023, marked the 37th annual National Girls and Women in Sports Day. “Lead Her Forward” continues to be the theme for this year’s National Girls and Women in Sports Day (NGWSD) and our kickoff for the next 50 years of Title IX. Menno High School supports National Girls and Women in Sports Day to increase visibility for female athletes and call attention to the positive influence of sport participation.
The Women’s Sports Foundation applauds the vital role played by the individuals and organizations championing girls and women in sports.
Tonight, we would like to honor nine senior female student-athletes with a certificate who have excelled at Menno High School in several sports throughout their four years. These girls have participated in two sports each season throughout their high school career. These athletes have exemplified qualities of excellence in sports skills, leadership, self-discipline, and perseverance.

MIDDLE/HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS and PARENTS: FCCLA will be holding a Valentine's Day fundraiser. Valentine Grams will be delivered at the end of the school day on Tuesday, the 14th. Students can send fun messages to their friends or staff. Parents can surprise their child with a sweet treat delivered during the school day or show some appreciation to a favorite staff member. Good luck to the boys basketball teams as they travel to Emery to take on the Huskies. JV start time is 4:00, followed by the varsity.
The Irene-Wakonda Boys Classic that was scheduled for this past Saturday has been rescheduled to Feb 11 @ Irene. Menno is now the home team, contrary to previously mentioned, and will wear WHITE uniforms. The game times are as follows:
12:00 Freeman vs. AC/DC
1:30 Menno vs. Baltic
3:00 Scotland vs. SC/Woonsocket
4:30 I-W vs. Wolsey/Wessington
All one act play students have play practice today from 3:20 – 4:20. Please be there on time. Also remember to have a makeup slip handed into the office for all day on Thursday. We will meet in the old gym Thursday morning at 8:00 to make sure we have everything loaded and ready to go to Sioux Falls.
