Students in Mrs. Knodel’s seventh grade English class enjoyed playing a game today as part of the Great Art Heist. They were able to learn about valuable pieces of art and the artist behind them. They are comparing and contrasting all the information from the unit.




This week is Angel Tree Week! Paper ornaments are hanging on the tree in the free study area. Take an ornament off the tree, get the indicated gift, and return the ornament with the gift underneath the tree. Gifts need to be at the school no later than Friday, Dec. 16. There will also be dress-up days to promote the event

With the Winter Concert moving up to a 6:00pm start tonight, the Menno School Board meeting will now begin at 4:30pm instead of the previously scheduled 6:00pm.
Due to the potential incoming weather, the 7-12 Winter Concert for tonight (Monday, December 12) will now start at 6:00 pm.

MENNO — Alcester-Hudson picked up a girls basketball win over Menno on Saturday.
Alcester-Hudson’s Alexis Gray had 16 points, four steals, and two assists, while Elly Doering tallied 11 points, six rebounds, and four steals. Ella Serck added six points, six rebounds, three assists, and two steals.
Menno’s Layne Schmidt led with 10 points, while Abby Bender had nine points, three assists, and three steals. Ashton Massey tallied seven points, 10 rebounds, four assists, and three blocks. Allison Lehr added six points, seven rebounds, and four assists.

MENNO — Menno earned a boys basketball win over Alcester-Hudson on Saturday.
Menno’s Kadeyn Ulmer tallied 16 points and four steals, while Ajay Herrboldt had 14 points. Hayden McNinch recorded 10 points, 14 rebounds, and three assists. Blake Rames had eight rebounds, while Maveric Smith added five steals and three assists.
Alcester-Hudson’s Ethan Bovill had 12 points and four steals, while Jose Lopez had 12 points. Will Hallaway added eight rebounds.

In an effort to get students and staff home safely with the approaching weather, the Menno School District will release at 2:30 today. Tonight's basketball games in Armour will be rescheduled to a later date. There will be no extra curricular events or practices this evening.

Due to the forecast, practice for the middle school boys basketball will not be held tomorrow morning or afternoon. The boys will practice today from 3:30-5:00--weather permitting. The bus will leave Saturday morning at 7:15 for the Hanson tournament,
