The Scotland/Menno Trappers have qualified for the Region IB tournament for the third year in a row and will now head to Parkston on Tuesday to face the Trojans at 3:00. Dakota Valley and F/C/M will square off at 5:00, and the winners of those two matchups will face off in the championship game at 7:00. The winner there will head to the Class B State Tournament May 26th and 27th in Brookings.

The BON HOMME / AVON Golf Invitational scheduled for tomorrow in Springfield and BHCC has been CANCELLED.

The Cornbelt Conference Track Meet has been postponed for tomorrow (5/16) due to the weather. The meet will be held on Thursday, May 22 at Bridgewater. There will NOT be a middle school meet. The conference meet will be only JV and Varsity. A revised schedule will be released soon.

The bottom of the lineup helped Scotland/Menno Varsity Trappers 2025 capture a 7-5 victory over FMFA Phoenix on Tuesday. Kadence Bierle, Kimmy Kubal, and Samantha Allvin combined for four of the team's eight hits in the victory.
Scotland/Menno Varsity Trappers 2025 came back to win despite trailing 4-0 in the second.
A single by Remi Weier put FMFA Phoenix on the board in the bottom of the first.
Elizabeth Piehl hit an inside the park home run, scoring three runs in the bottom of the second for the FMFA Phoenix.
Scotland/Menno Varsity Trappers 2025 made the score 5-4 in the top of the fifth after Ervin Schrock tripled, scoring one run, Kylie Guthmiller singled, scoring one run, and Amanda Rames grounded out, scoring two runs.
Kylie Guthmiller earned the win for Scotland/Menno Varsity Trappers 2025. The righty surrendered eight hits and five runs (four earned) over seven innings, striking out five and walking four. Harli Ross took the loss for FMFA Phoenix. The pitcher went seven innings, allowing seven runs (five earned) on eight hits, striking out eight and walking four.
Kadence Bierle, Ervin Schrock, and Samantha Allvin each collected two hits for Scotland/Menno Varsity Trappers 2025. Ervin Schrock went 2-for-4 at the plate and led the team with two runs batted in. Kylie Guthmiller and Nora Robb each stole multiple bases for Scotland/Menno Varsity Trappers 2025. Scotland/Menno Varsity Trappers 2025 stole four bases in the game.
Elizabeth Piehl led FMFA Phoenix with three runs batted in. The right-handed hitter went 3-for-4 on the day. Claire Loofbourrow and Elizabeth Piehl each collected three hits for FMFA Phoenix. Elizabeth Piehl stole two bases. FMFA Phoenix ran wild on the base paths, amassing four stolen bases for the game.
