
The Trappers Varsity GBB team lost to Gayville-Volin 37-56 tonight in Menno. Keep fighting Trappers!





The Animal Science class got some Vitamin D and fresh air today while learning cattle external anatomy.











Today the HS Geometry Class went out and found how tall the flagpole is! They were able to do this by using a clinometer and tape measure. On average, they found it was 22ft! If you think that is accurate or not, let us know!

Tonight the Trappers take on the Gayville-Volin Raiders in Menno! JV starts at 5:00pm (girls will only have 2 quarters due to low numbers), Varsity Girls start at 6:15pm, and Varsity Boys at 7:45pm.
It is also Cheer Camp Night for the Menno elementary students participating in cheer camp. Campers should be in the Old Gym by 7pm with their cheer camp t-shirts on. Parents of Menno cheer campers get into the game for free.

Menno was just informed that the one act play will now be presented at 1 o'clock on Wednesday instead of 2 o'clock.
This change is due to a school withdrawing due to students who have been sick. If you were planning on going to the performance, take note of the time change.

Come one and all to the Menno High School production of "The Seussification of Romeo and Juliet" by Peter Bloedel. Tonight is the night, January 27th at 7:30 P.M. in the City/School Auditorium. This is Romeo and Juliet like you've never imagined.


It is cheer camp week! Today is our final practice Monday January 27th from 3:30pm-5:00pm. If your student attends the Menno Elementary School they will attend practices in Menno and then only perform at the basketball game in Menno on January 28th - please have them in the Old Gym by 7pm. If your student attends the Scotland Elementary School they will attend practices in Scotland and then perform only at the basketball game in Scotland on January 30th - please have them there by 7pm.
Parents of cheer campers get in for free for their students' performance.

One act play shirts are for sale for all who want them. They need to be ordered by Monday night. XS - XL is $18 and 2XL - 5XL is $20. There will be a sign up sheet at the play on Monday night or you can order as advertised on the picture.


The military appreciation night in Scotland has been changed to February 11 when the GBB team plays Canistota.

Trappers Varsity Girls game report from the Yankton P&D online
Freeman 53, Scotland-Menno 28
FREEMAN — The Freeman Flyers defeated the Scotland-Menno Trappers, 53-28, in the girls’ basketball matchup on Thursday night in Freeman.
Rylee Peters led the charge for Freeman with 17 points, 12 rebounds, and seven steals on the night. Vaida Ammann added 14 points, seven rebounds, and 12 steals in the win for the Flyers.
Emily Dvorak was the Trappers’ leading scorer with seven points, while Trinity Bietz scored six points and pulled in 10 rebounds. Kailin Odens led the game with 14 rebounds on the night.
Freeman advanced to 10-2 on the year and will travel to Irene-Wakonda on Saturday for the Blizzard Buster Classic in Irene, while the Trappers fell to 3-7 and will host Gayville-Volin on Tuesday.

Freeman 73, Scotland-Menno 37
FREEMAN — The Freeman Flyers won, 73-37 against the Scotland-Menno Trappers during boys’ prep basketball on Thursday.
Tate Sorensen led Freeman with 19 points and 10 rebounds. David Walter had 17 points. Luke Peters had 14 points.
Trent Guthmiller led Scotland-Menno with 15 points.
The Flyers are now 9-3 and the Trappers are now 2-8. Freeman’s next game is in Freeman against Avon on Friday, Jan. 31. The Trappers next game is in Menno against Gayville-Volin on Tuesday.

Tonight the Scotland/Menno Trappers travel to Freeman to take on the Flyers in an exciting double header match up! JV starts at 5pm, Varsity Girls at 6:115pm, and Varsity Boys at 7:30pm. Wish our Trappers luck on the road tonight!
