Menno Quiz Bowl will be holding practices on Tuesday February 2nd for Middle School and Thursday February 4th for High School. Both will be at 7:30 in the morning. Students can enter through the south door.

Junior High Oral Interp starts now for seventh and eighth grade students who are interested. Students have started to choose pieces. Four categories are available - drama, humor, oratory, and poetry. This is a great activity for practicing theatrical and speaking skills.

Students are reminded that laptops belong in the cart when you are at lunch or if you need a place to put them during PE, Band or Chorus. They do not belong on the floor or in the bleachers with your book bags. They do not belong in the halls outside of the locker rooms during any athletic practices. Since it is also winter please remember that cold is hard on your laptop and battery. Please do not start a cold laptop but allow it to warm up first.

Congratulations to the cast and crew of “Pandemic” for bringing home second place at the Region 1-B contest yesterday. Congratulations to Brady F., Carly H., Kyle K., and Kaelea M. for receiving an outstanding performance medal.

The Menno One Act Play, Pandemic, received the second place trophy at Regions today. They will be performing at the state contest on February 6 in Brookings.

Elementary students competed last week in a building contest for their PAWS Pass reward.





Elementary PE grades PreK, K, 1 had fun with a parachute and grades 2-6 are in their basketball unit. High School Health did a poll with grade 6-12 on "What would make you feel better about yourself"?

Maxwell had a great time making a tower out of cups, paper, straws, and tape. We broke into teams , got busy planning and building. A great time had by all!

The 2nd-4th grade students at Maxwell Colony are creating ABC books about South Dakota.

The 3rd graders have been working on finding the area and perimeter of different shapes in Math.

We started ACCESS testing today at Jamesville Colony!

Fifth grade has an English test over indefinite and reflexive pronouns on Thursday. Study the spelling words, practice test Thursday.

4th Graders have been learning about food webs and making ecosystems!

Maxwell Colony Kindergarten and first grade will begin taking the ACCESS test on Thursday, April 28, 2021.

7th grade Science will have a quiz over the Circulatory and Respiratory systems tomorrow.
