The Week in Menno Science. Bio was working on restrictions of enzymes. Environment worked on the future of Sioux Falls. Chem is learning significant figures. BIO 2 dihybrid crosses. Robotics is building bomb disposal units and Anatomy learning the art of fingerprinting.

• Tuesday: College/Career Day (where do you want to go/what do you want to do after high school)
• Wednesday: Dress like an “Old” Person (the interpretation of what old means/looks like can be left up to the kids 😊)
• Thursday: Walking Yearbook (wear a t shirt and bring a sharpie to sign each other’s shirts throughout the day)
Administration has asked that shirts NOT be
worn while being signed. This means that students will need to have another shirt to wear any time signing is happening. We would like the majority of students to bring their own sharpie for this, but student council will have extras on hand to lend out to students that cannot obtain one.

Any 9-12th graders interested in basketball cheer should talk to Ms. Sternhagen by Friday September 30th.
The Scotland FFA Chapter invites all 8th & 9th graders who are in FFA or interested in joining FFA to their Greenhand Fire Up. It is Tuesday September 27th from 4 - 7p.m. in the Scotland School Gym. This event will help students network and grow their leadership skills. For more information look for the posters that are hung up around school or talk to Ms. Haberman. Anyone who would like to attend this free event should let Ms. Haberman know so that she can R.S.V.P.
The fall blood drive is in Menno on Thursday, September 29, from 12:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at Peace Christian Reformed Church. Please contact Janelle Bender at 605-660-8338 if you would like a donation appointment. Anyone 16 years old will need to have the Parent Consent Form completed prior to a donation appointment.
The Jim River Middle School Football Jamboree that was originally scheduled for September 10 has been cancelled (no new date would work).
3rd and 4th grade students enjoyed the Power Show today! Thank you to all the volunteers who make it possible for our students to attend!

C Match – 5:15 pm
JV followed by Varsity at 6:15 pm
The 4th Graders are collecting and comparing data through various activities in math. They are comparing the results of 3rd Graders vs. 4th Graders.

Cross country had a good day in Tyndall at a very big, hilly and hot meet yesterday. Place winners were Zoe 4th, Hannah 14th and Ashlynn 17th in JV. In JH, Daniel placed 19th. Also running were Leah 31st, Emmalyn 35th and Bailey 36th. Way to go, runners!!
