HIGH SCHOOL GRADES 9, 10 and 12 (Students will go to their normal classes except what is noted below.
1st period Geometry students will go to their normal room (270) and have Mrs. Sherard as a teacher.
2nd period Geometry students will go to Mrs. Liebl’s room (440).
English IV students will go to Ms. Sternhagen’s room (270) and have Mrs. Sherard.
3rd period Speech students will go to Ms. Sternhagen’s room (270) and have Mrs. Sherard. Pre-Calculus student Anna Kludt will go to Mr. Schmuck’s room.

There is a lot of talent coming up the ranks in Menno’s Oral Interpretation program.

Good luck to the middle school students participating at the Cornbelt Conference JH Oral Interp at Hanson today.

Get your dollars and change ready, Penny War Week is this week! Coins will count positively towards class points and dollar bills will count negatively towards class points. All donations will be given to Dawson Bietz and his family. Information can be found on fliers in the halls, on the school’s website/Facebook page, and has been sent to all teachers. You can get involved in the community by dropping your change in the buckets that will be at Total Stop. The class with the highest points will receive a Breakfast Pizza Party!
NHS/Student Council is hosting an “I Hate Winter” event during 7th period (2:20-3:05pm) on Friday for the whole school. We will be playing Human Foosball.

A lot of good books and Goldfish crackers were shared this afternoon at Menno School, as the elementary students each buddied with parents, teachers, or high school students to read together and celebrate Read Across America. Thanks to everyone who came and participated!

Post Prom will be selling the leftover Dilly Bars and Juice Stop Freezies from 3:00 to 3:25 Thursday and Friday or until gone. Sale will be by the kitchen and the cost is $3.00 each.
The music department has a limited number of boxes of chocolates for $5 and $6. See Mr. Bray or Mrs. Unruh to buy some before they are gone.

There will be a track meeting for students in grades 9-12 after school Thursday in the new gym. If you are unable to attend, please let Mr. Bruckner, Ryan Liebl, Mr. Rice, or Mrs. Stokes know. Practice for grades 6-12 will start on Monday, March 7.
Any 6th-8th graders interested in track will have a meeting Thursday at 2:50 in the new gym.
Reminder to students, you must have a physical taken and the form needs to be turned in to the office before participating in any sports including practices.

Any students interested in taking Driver’s Ed who did not get a letter, please stop in the office for one. You must be 14 years old by May 1, 2023.

HS Quiz Bowl practice will be on Friday morning, instead of Thursday morning.
There will be Middle School Quiz Bowl Practice today and March 9th at 7:45AM in the Library and Thursday, March 3rd and 10th right after school (3:15PM).

Good luck to the Menno Wolves BBB team as they travel to Hurley at 4:30 for the Region 5B Tourney to take on Viborg-Hurley at 6:00 pm. Admission prices are: $6/adults; $4 students. Go Wolves and reminder to always show good sportsmanship.
