Military Appreciation Night—January 31, 2023
Avon at Menno doubleheader bball games
All current and retired military personnel are invited to attend the Menno Wolves doubleheader basketball games on Tuesday, January 31 vs. Avon. Military personnel will be admitted free to the games. The JV games will start at 4:30 (using two gyms), girls’ varsity will begin at 5:45 and boys’ varsity will follow around 7:30. Military personnel are asked to please sign your name and service information at the ticket table when you arrive. A free popcorn coupon will be given to the military personnel to use at the concession stand. All military personnel will be introduced before the start of the boys’ varsity game.
Change in start time tonight--The varsity girls game will start at 4:30, followed by varsity boys.
Bus will leave at 2:45.

The boy’s basketball game vs. Sioux Falls Lutheran at the Irene-Wakonda Classic has been postponed for tomorrow, Sat. Jan. 28. The classic has been moved to Saturday, February 11. Game time will be announced later.

Lake Area Technical College is offering a drone camp. There is an attachment describing the camp in the announcements. Apply soon as spots are filling up fast.
Congratulations to the one act play cast and crew for their trophy and second place finish to advance to the state tournament. Congratulations to Kaelie, Chandler, Alexis, Julia, and Maggie on receiving outstanding performance medals at yesterday’s contest.
The one act play will travel to Sioux Falls O'Gorman High School on Thurs., Feb. 2 and will perform Dark Road at 1:45. This contest is open to the public and is free of charge. The awards will be given out on Saturday following the final play of the day.
Reminder: Cheer Camp Forms are due TOMORROW Friday January 27th for any student in grade K-5 that are interested. The $25 payment is also due at that time. Contact carly.sternhagen@k12.sd.us with any questions.
Menno School will dismiss at 1:00 pm on Friday, January 27, 2023 for a teacher in-service.

five individual actor’s medals and a trophy. They will travel to state in O’Gorman next week. I

The Menno School Board will host a public meeting tonight, January 25, to discuss the sports coop at 7:00 pm in the main gym.
Good luck to the MHS One Act Play cast and crew today when they perform at the Region One Act Contest at Sioux Falls Lutheran.

Little Wolves Cheer Camp season is upon us! Any student in grade K-5 can sign-up for it. Practices will be February 14th-16th from 3:30pm – 5:00pm with a light snack provided. The performance will be on Friday, February 17th during halftime of the varsity boy’s game against Scotland. Parents and grandparents are NOT able to get in for free and must pay the price of admission. The camp is $25, which includes the price of a t-shirt, and forms are due by Friday, January 27th to ensure that t-shirts are ordered on time.
The 8th graders will be going to the career fair in Wagner on Thursday, Jan. 26. We will leave right after the buses arrive and return around 11-11:30. Please bring a coat or warm attire to wear on the bus ride!! If you have any questions, see Mrs. Fischer.
