
Menno One Act Play travels to Sioux Falls Lutheran tomorrow and will perform at 3:00 P.M. This is open to the public and is free of charge.


The Menno School Board will host a public meeting on Wednesday, January 25 to discuss the sports coop at 7:00 pm in the main gym.

Little Wolves Cheer Camp season is upon us! Any student in grade K-5 can sign-up for it. Practices will be February 14th-16th from 3:30pm – 5:00pm with a light snack provided. The performance will be on Friday, February 17th during halftime of the varsity boy’s game against Scotland. Parents and grandparents are NOT able to get in for free and must pay the price of admission. The camp is $25, which includes the price of a t-shirt, and forms are due by Friday, January 27th to ensure that t-shirts are ordered on time. Forms are in the daily announcements or see Ms. Sternhagen for extras.

4-H New Family Night – to be held on February 10, at the Hutchinson County Courthouse in Olivet. Details available in the school announcements.

NHS and Student Council - There will be NO NHS meeting this week. Next week Wednesday, February 1st at 7:45 am there will be a joint NHS and Student Council meeting in Ms. Sternhagen’s room to discuss Penny Wars.

The 8th graders will be going to the career fair in Wagner on Thursday, Jan. 26. We will leave right after the buses arrive and return around 11-11:30. Please bring a coat or warm attire to wear on the bus ride!! If you have any questions or concerns please let Mrs. Fischer know

Menno School will dismiss at 1:00 pm on Friday, January 27, 2023 for a teacher in-service.

Good luck to the MHS One Act Play cast and crew as they perform their matinee this afternoon at 2:30 and they will also perform tonight at 7:30 for the evening performance. The play will not be live streamed.

FFA Members who would like to compete in a CDE this spring, please sign up for a contest using the clipboards outside of Ms. Haberman's room.

Scotland FFA is hosting a Mini CDE contest tonight in their Main Gym from 6 - 7:30p.m. Menno adults and students are invited to learn more about the different CDE's. This event is a great way for new FFA members to experience the different contests

FREEMAN — Freeman picked up a win over Menno in boys basketball action Friday.
Tate Sorensen led Freeman with 15 points and six rebounds. Ethan Balvin had 11 points, while David Walter and Rocky Ammann added eight points apiece. Luke Peters and Evan Scharberg added seven and six points, respectively.
Hayden McNinch led Menno with 14 points and five rebounds. Kadeyn Ulmer recorded nine rebounds, five points and three assists for the Wolves.

FREEMAN — The Freeman Flyers built a 32-18 halftime lead to get a 62-36 victory over the Menno Wolves in girls’ basketball action Friday.
Ashlin Jacobsen led the Flyers with 15 points. Erin Uecker added 14 points.
For Menno, Layne Schmidt scored 10 points.
Freeman, 6-5, plays today (Saturday) in the Irene-Wakonda Classic. The Flyers will be facing the Freeman Academy/Marion Bearcats. Menno, 2-10, hosts Gayville-Volin on Tuesday.
