Thank you to everyone for attending our open house tonight. Thanks also to the school board for grilling hamburgers and hotdogs tonight, while also serving chips, water, and ice cream for supper. It's a great start to the 2023-2024 school year in Menno. Go Wolves and Trappers.
No MS FB practice on Tuesday afternoon due to the excessive heat. The HS team will practice in the morning at Scotland on Tuesday from 8-9:30 AM.
MS and JV FB shortened scrimmage/jamboree with Avon today. JV tied 8-8. MS got beat 28-0. Keep working hard boys! It was a hot one out there.
Thank you to Roosters for the outstanding taco bar lunch today. The staff enjoyed it.
The 605 Magic School Bus scheduled to be here tonight for the Back to School Open House will be moving indoors due to the heat. They will now be located outside the new gym and throughout the entry area. Don't forget to stop by!

A HUGE Thank You to everyone who picked an apple and donated school supplies. We got everything we needed and much more to last throughout the school year. This was a big success and we will plan on doing it again next year. Thank you for loving our students!

Trapper Football Fans---Game change for Aug. 25.
The Scotland/Menno at W/WS/SC football game scheduled for August 25 will be played at Wessington Springs at 7:00 pm. This is a change from Sanborn Central as they have work going on at their field.
Don't forget: Tomorrow is Back to School Open House! Come grab a burger or hot dog, meet you teachers, get your face painted, and check out the 605 Magic Art Bus! Supper starts at 5:30.
Yearbooks are in! You can pick them up during the Open House on Monday August 21 from 5:00 - 7:30pm in Ms. Sternhagen's Room 150 OR they will be passed out on the first day of school. If you are unable to receive your yearbook at either of those times, please email carly.sternhagen@k12.sd.us to make arrangements.
There will be a Menno Music Booster meeting with parents after the open house on Monday, August 21, 2023. We will be discussing band day and the band trip. Please plan to attend.
Schedule change for MS and JV FB on Mon., Aug. 21 vs. Avon in Menno. Both teams will play at 4:00 and play a jamboree style game. Start from the 40 yd line to the end zone. Playing in this manner will allow everyone to be done in an hour or less. We will take many water breaks.
