We gave out some big awards this morning in the elementary, starting with our December Character Counts winners! Jaeger E., Laura C., Grace H., Emberly S., Amelia H., Thatcher B., and Noah V. all did a fantastic job displaying the trait of Trustworthiness last month! Our Super Readers were Eve R., Valerie W., Isaac M., Jensen W., Arya W., Jackson Z., and Emmi S.!
The December Student of the Month for Menno Elementary was Eve R.! She displayed lots of the positive traits we've learned about as well as being a great example and leader. Congrats everyone!

Howard 64, Menno 27
HOWARD — Abby Aslesen finished with 30 points, 10 rebounds and seven steals to lead Howard past Menno 64-27 in girls’ basketball action on Tuesday.
Ann Connor scored 12 points in the victory.
For Menno, Zoe Schaeffer scored eight points. Ashton Massey added eight rebounds, three assists and four steals.
Howard, 6-3, travels to Forestburg to face Sanborn Central-Woonsocket on Thursday. Menno, 0-5, travels to Tripp to face Tripp-Delmont-Armour on Friday.

The sixth grade created set designs for the play A Christmas Carol" for drama class. They did a great job.

On Wednesday, December 20th, teachers and staff played a Holiday Game, “The Contest,” together to spread a little Christmas cheer throughout the building. Teachers worked in teams to win points toward a grand prize. We want to thank all of our local businesses for their donations for this event. Boys basketball game report from Yankton P&D online paper
Wagner 60, Menno 28
MENNO — Wagner built a 36-13 halftime lead on the way to a 60-28 victory over Menno in boys’ basketball action on Tuesday.
Preston McFadden posted 18 points for Wagner (2-1). Carter Cournoyer finished with 12 points and 12 rebounds. Parker Petry also had 12 points in the victory.
Isaac Fergen led Menno (0-5) with 11 points. Trent Guthmiller had nine rebounds.
Wagner, 2-1, hosts Ethan on Thursday. Menno is off until a Jan. 2 matchup at Howard.

Varsity boys lost to Wagner 60-28.



The "Future Wolves" (4th and 5th graders) scrimmages at halftime tonight. Good job kids.

Reminder that the Menno School District will have early dismissals this week! On Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday, December 19th-21st, students will be released at 1:00pm. Busses will follow the early dismissal schedule.
