Penny Wars will be February 26th – March 1st! All proceeds will be given to Kobee Sherman and his family. Coins count positively towards a class’ total and dollar bills count negatively toward class totals. Students who want their class to win will place pennies, nickels, dimes, and quarters into their own buckets and place dollar bills into other classrooms’ buckets. The two classes with the most amount of points and the least amount of points at the end of the week will win a breakfast pizza party! Buckets will be at Total Stop and there will be one located in each of the PK-5 classrooms and 6-12 first period classes. If you have any questions, please contact carly.sternhagen@k12.sd.us.

The SDHSAA Academic Achievement Team Award is designed to recognize varsity athletic teams and fine arts groups for their academic excellence. To receive a certificate, the teams must achieve or exceed a GPA of 3.0. The SDHSAA believes that high school students learn in two distinct ways: inside the classroom and outside the classroom on the stage and on the athletic field. The SDHSAA Academic Achievement Team Award program is designed to create a positive environment, as well as an incentive, to encourage school "teams" to have their members excel both in the classroom and the activity. The Menno teams that have qualified for this award are the following:
All State Chorus, Boys Cross Country, Football, Football Cheerleaders, Girls Cross Country, and Volleyball.
Congratulations!

Good luck to the following students for being selected to participate in the Cornbelt Conference MS Oral Interp Contest in Hurley on Thursday, February 2.
Brooks Schoenfish, Bailey Neuharth, October Reed , Emmalyn Heckenlaible, Emma Rempfer, Leah Crick, Justin Gerlach, and Traiton Baker. Advisor is Mrs. Knodel.
