This week's Senior Spotlight is Stephen Munkvold!

Another Home Alone Week challenge was for staff to take a moment and simply lie down/back, relax, and stare off into space. Kind of like you used to when you were a kid. This turned into all kinds of pondering taking place for staff and students alike...



Starting last Friday and through this week, the Menno staff is participating in activities that retrace the plot of Home Alone. Today there were different challenges, including finding “spiders” around the building and recreating the moment with the tarantula on Marv’s face.

This week Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday the Middle School and High School will run our Semester Test Schedule! See the attached picture for specific times of each period's test. There will be a 1pm dismissal each day. Good luck students!

Menno School will dismiss early on Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday (Dec. 18-20) at 1:00 pm due to semester tests. No school Dec. 23-Jan. 3. Have a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year. School will resume on Monday, January 6, 2025.

The high school basketball games with Alcester-Hudson scheduled for today at Scotland (12/14/24) have been postponed due to the weather. The games will now be played on January 18 at Scotland. Stay tuned about a different date for parents night.
The S/M Trappers middle school boys basketball games vs Alcester-Hudson at Scotland have been cancelled for today, 12/14/24.
Due to the weather, the middle school girls basketball tournament at Avon has been cancelled for today 12/14/24.
It is Parent's Night for Trapper Basketball! We will announce the Girls Basketball team after the completion of the JV games. We will announce the Boys Basketball team and cheerleaders after the varsity girls game.
The Trappers will take on the Cubs of Alcester-Hudson in tonight's games. JV will start at 2pm - girls will play in the Auxiliary Gym and boys will play in the Main Gym, Varsity Girls will play at 3:15pm, and Varsity Boys at 4:30pm. Good luck tonight Trappers!

Due to the potential of freezing rain, the Elks Basketball Hoop Shoot scheduled for tomorrow morning in Yankton has been postponed.
This students look like they are ready for Christmas Vacation! Thank you to everyone who have helped us celebrate this week, and congrats to the Seniors for winning the final day of Candy Canes!
Kindergarten went on a Gingerbread Man hunt this morning and found a sweet
treat at the end!

Tripp-Delmont-Armour 65, Scotland-Menno 56
TRIPP — Isaac Wunder and Riley Spaans combined for 45 points to lead Tripp-Delmont-Armour past Scotland-Menno in boys’ basketball action on Thursday. The contest was the season opener for both teams.
Wunder finished with 24 points, nine rebounds and six assists for TDA. Spaans had 21 points, nine rebounds and four assists in the victory.
Isayah Ulmer led Scotland-Menno with 12 points. Kory Keppen scored nine points, Trent Guthmiller posted eight points and seven rebounds, and Treyton Bolt added eight points for the Trappers.
TDA hosts Parkston on Tuesday in Armour. Scotland-Menno hosts Alcester-Hudson on Saturday in Scotland.
TDA won the JV game 34-27.
