Cornbelt Conference Quiz Bowl for JH and HS will be held on Tuesday, March 23 at Hanson High School. Leave at 2:00. Registration at 2:45 and contest begins at 3:00 pm
Since Scotland and Menno are teaming up for Baseball this Spring and Football this Fall we thought we could get a jumpstart on teamwork by fighting hunger together. Join us in helping Farmer’s Alliance Harvest for Hunger Food Drive. Scotland and Menno schools will be having a friendly competition to see who can bring in the most pounds of food for local Food Pantries. Menno’s food that is donated will be going to the Bethany Food Pantry in Freeman that helps us provide food to some of our own students every week. You may start bringing in your items TODAY through March 19. The drop off point in Menno School is Mrs. Sherard’s Room, across from the office. The most needed items are canned meat (tuna, chicken), peanut butter and jelly, canned fruits and vegetables, cereals and boxed meals (hamburger/tuna helper). If you prefer you may give a financial donation instead. The school that receives the most food in pounds will be awarded the very first annual traveling trophy. GO WOLVES! If you have any questions please contact Trishia Fischer at 387-5161.
The Menno FCCLA Chapter is co-sponsoring Bunnies and Band-aids through Friday, March 26. The kid-themed band-aids and new stuffed animals will be donated to the children at Sanford's Children's Castle. (Please keep the tags attached to the stuffed animals so the hospital knows these are new stuffed animals.) Elementary students can deliver their donations to their classroom teachers. Middle school and high school students, staff, and community people can deliver their donations to the family and consumer sciences classroom.
FCCLA members, check in with your Power Hour teacher on Wednesday and then come to the FCCLA meeting in the family and consumer sciences classroom. We have several projects we will be doing.
