
The FFA Floriculture team has been practicing creating floral arrangements. The students have 20 minutes to create an arrangement and are then judged on it's balance, design, and functionality. Students must also calculate an itemized bill for the arrangement.

Congratulations to all nine Menno FFA teams for qualifying to compete at State Career Development Events! They will travel to Rapid City from April 11th through April 13th to compete and participate in the South Dakota State FFA Convention. To qualify, teams had to place within the top 5 teams of our district at the Tri-Valley CDE.

The Menno NHS chapter were able to present Christina Woehl a check for $803.61 as a part of the Penny War. Adrian Nusz, President Brady Fergen, and Paige Dyk presented the check to Christina this morning.


Today, the Menno NHS were able to present the first check to Kahlen Salis from the Penny War. Kahlen received $803.61 from the Penny War to help with expenses traveling to and from St. Louis to meet with her doctors. We wish Kahlen and her family well in the future.

Final Quiz Bowl of the season. High School teams will be traveling to Scotland after school tomorrow to take part of the Scotland Invitational. Two teams from Scotland, one each from Avon and Wagner will also be participating. Hoping to finish the excellent season, strong!!!!

Any students who are interested in taking Driver’s Ed and did not get a letter, stop in the office for one.

Good luck to the FFA members as they travel to the Sioux Falls fairgrounds for the Tri Valley CDE. They needed more room for events so that is why they are competing in SF.

Congratulations to Caden Fischer for finishing second on the 1st Annual Vitual Physics Quiz Bowl. The competition was from SDSU.

The winners of the Penny War are the fifth grade class with a total of 19,018 points. In second place, the third grade class with a total of 15,528 points. Finally, the fourth grade class took third place with a total of 12, 360. Checks in the amount of $803.61 each will be given to the Jim Woehl Memorial Fund and Kahlen Salis. Thank you to all who participated to make the Penny War a huge success once again.

The golf team will meet and leave for Scotland right after school Monday. Meet in the gym lobby. This is our first time for golf and will coop with Scotland. Covid cancelled the season last year. Good luck to all golfers.

It was a great Quiz Bowl match against Vermillion this afternoon. Unforturnately the Wolves fell short by a score of 5-6. Still, second place is the best we have ever done on the 93.1 Hot Country radio. Scotland Quiz Bowl next on the schedule on Tuesday after school

Congratulations to the Menno Boys & Girls track teams on their performances yesterday at the Mt. Marty indoor meet. Brady Fergen, Morgan Edelman and Raygen Diede all won events while Jesse Munkvold, Owen Eitemiller, and Tyler Massey all placed 2nd in events. We had several personal bests yesterday. It was a great way to start the season. Go Wolves!

The Penny War has new leaders. The third grade has 3645 points to lead the way. The Kindergarten class was hit today with bills to give them a -1797 in the war. Keep the change coming!
