K-6 Students raised $1,700 for Jump Rope For Heart this year! The top three students were able throw a pie in the face of Mr. Foss and Mr. Rice at an assembly today. Mela L. raised $277, Micah G. raised $270, and Emmalyn H. raised $270.

Congratulations to Morgan Edelman for being selected to the 1st Team Girls Class B All State. Morgan was named to the second team the last two years and this year earned the coveted first team.

Tough going in Scotland tonight as the Menno Gold team finished 4th and Maroon 5th. Maroon had two matches go to tiebreakers!!! Special thanks to my Seniors, Logan Schmidt, Caden Fischer, and Maddy Heckenlaible, who had a great season and career.

The FFA Floriculture team has been practicing creating floral arrangements. The students have 20 minutes to create an arrangement and are then judged on it's balance, design, and functionality. Students must also calculate an itemized bill for the arrangement.


4th & 5th Grade Science Fair tonight from 6:15-7:00 in the Old Gym! Come check it out!


Congratulations to all nine Menno FFA teams for qualifying to compete at State Career Development Events! They will travel to Rapid City from April 11th through April 13th to compete and participate in the South Dakota State FFA Convention. To qualify, teams had to place within the top 5 teams of our district at the Tri-Valley CDE.

The Menno NHS chapter were able to present Christina Woehl a check for $803.61 as a part of the Penny War. Adrian Nusz, President Brady Fergen, and Paige Dyk presented the check to Christina this morning.


Today, the Menno NHS were able to present the first check to Kahlen Salis from the Penny War. Kahlen received $803.61 from the Penny War to help with expenses traveling to and from St. Louis to meet with her doctors. We wish Kahlen and her family well in the future.

Final Quiz Bowl of the season. High School teams will be traveling to Scotland after school tomorrow to take part of the Scotland Invitational. Two teams from Scotland, one each from Avon and Wagner will also be participating. Hoping to finish the excellent season, strong!!!!

Any students who are interested in taking Driver’s Ed and did not get a letter, stop in the office for one.

Good luck to the FFA members as they travel to the Sioux Falls fairgrounds for the Tri Valley CDE. They needed more room for events so that is why they are competing in SF.

Congratulations to Caden Fischer for finishing second on the 1st Annual Vitual Physics Quiz Bowl. The competition was from SDSU.

The winners of the Penny War are the fifth grade class with a total of 19,018 points. In second place, the third grade class with a total of 15,528 points. Finally, the fourth grade class took third place with a total of 12, 360. Checks in the amount of $803.61 each will be given to the Jim Woehl Memorial Fund and Kahlen Salis. Thank you to all who participated to make the Penny War a huge success once again.
