Senior Legion Baseball State B Tourney update:

MILBANK — Groton outslugged the Scotland-Menno-Freeman-Canistota 79ers 16-11 in an elimination game in the South Dakota State Class B American Legion Baseball Tournament, Sunday in Milbank.
Groton advances to an elimination game against Parkston today (Monday).
Carter Simon was 4-for-5 with a home run, four RBIs and four runs scored for Groton. Korbin Kucker had three hits, including a triple and a double, three RBIs and three runs scored. Brevin Fliehs also had three hits, three RBIs and three runs scored. Braxton Imrie posted two hits. Gavin Englund doubled, and Nick Morris and Alex Abeln each had a hit in the victory.
Kory Keppen had two hits and four RBIs for SMFC. Tayden Kerrigan and Rocky Ammann each doubled. Bryce Sattler, Riley Tschetter and Evan Scharberg each had a hit for the 79ers.
Abeln pitched 5 2/3 innings in relief, striking out seven, for the win. Riley Tschetter took the loss, also in relief.
