S/M Trappers track results from the LMVC meet on Tuesday in Lake Andes. Report from the Yankton P&D online. LMVC LAKE ANDES — The Avon boys and the Wagner girls earned top honors at the Little Missouri Valley Conference at the Andes Central High School Track on Tuesday in Lake Andes. Avon earned the top spot with 157 points, beating out Wagner (154) and Scotland-Menno (117). Avon led with six wins. First in Boys’ 400-meter (53.42) was Easton Sees. Cale Cooper won the boys’ 3200-meter run (11:03.89). A team comprising of Grayson Ratzlaff, Trenton Soukup, Zander Fathke and Easton Sees won the boys’ 4x400-meter relay (3:50.21). Al Gunter placed first in the boys’ shot put (49-7.25) and the boys’ discus throw (146-1 1/2) while Jamisen Pelton won the boys’ triple jump (43-8). Wagner received four event wins with Gannon Knebel having a hand in three of the four wins. Knebel placed first in the boys’ 200-meter run (24.69) and participated in the boys’ 4x100-meter relay (45.70) with Shea Kjeldgaard, Beauregard Otte and Brayden Kreber where they placed first. Another team made up of Gannon Knebel, Payne Petry, Beauregard Otte and Brayden Kreber won the boys’ 4x200-meter relay (1:35.66) Scotland-Menno also received four wins during the day’s activities. Izayah Ulmer won the boys’ 800-meter run (2:10.5) while Adam Munkvold placed first in the 110-meter hurdles (18.90) and second in the 300-meter hurdles (47.07). Mirk Vaith, CJ Bjorum, Luke Bierle, and Izayah Ulmer won the 4x800-meter relay and the team’s final win came from Luke Bierle in the boys’ pole vault (7-0). Andes Central-Dakota Christian placed fourth and similarly received four event wins. Luke Dangel took the top spot in the boys’ 1600-meter run (5:15.83) and placed second in the 800-meter run (2:12.98). Jamian Medicine Horn contributed the last three wins in the boys’ 300 meter-hurdles (46.48), boys’ javelin (145-2) and the long jump (20-7.75). Tripp-Delmont-Armour received one sole event win from Charlie Tree Top, Branson Kok, Dylan Kok, and Ashton Koster in the boys’ 1600-meter sprint medley relay. Bon Homme went home with a one event win from Owen Bures in the boys’ 100-meter (11.96). Bures also participated in the 200-meter run (25.14) and 400-meter run (57.11) where he placed second and seventh, respectively. For the girls’ division, Wagner took the lead with 162 points out-pacing Bonne Homme (113) and Avon (99) for the top spot. Wagner earned eight event wins with Addison Cuka contributing two first placements in the girls’ 200-meter run (29.10) and 400-meter run (1:05.06). Kendra Van Duysen also brought in another two wins in the girls’ 100-meter hurdles (18.79) and 300-meter hurdles (55.13). Aryonni Picotte, Mateya Bruguier, Hannah Holzbauer and Kieradyn Knudsen earned the team their singular relay win in the girls’ 4x200-meter relay (2:01.11). Ashlyn Koupal earned the team yet another two wins in the girls’ shot put (37-5) and high jump (4-9). The team’s final win came from Kieradyn Knudsen who won the girls’ long jump (15-0). Bon Homme followed closely behind Wagner with five event wins. Taycee Ranek began their winning streak earning a first placement in the girls’ 100-meter run (13.75). Claire Guthmiller kept the streak going with a win in the 1600-meter run (5:43.32) and the 3200-meter run (12:25.57). A team consisting of Jasmine Ruelas, Cati Uecker, Delia Knoll, and Taycee Ranek won the 4x100-meter relay while Cati Uecker, Taycee Ranek, Jasmine Ruelas and Claire Guthmiller won the 1600-meter sprint medley (4:42.56). Shy of one win to reach Bonne Homme’s record, Avon earned four event wins. Riley Thury, Hadlee Kracht, Emersyn Haenfler and Raegan Brandt won the girls’ 4x400-meter relay (4:47.8) and the 4x800-meter relay (10:56.42). Lexi Vanderlei earned the team their third win in the girls’ discus throw (109-2 1/2). Avon’s final win of the day came from Brielle Voigt in the girls’ javelin (108-11). Scotland-Menno received two event wins. One from Zoe Schaeffer in the girls’ 800-meter run (2:42.60) and the other from Taylor Didomenico in the girls’ pole vault (6-0). Tripp-Delmont -Armour’s Lyndsey Chessmore won the girls’ triple jump (32-6).

Golf results from Coach Rokusek ⛳️ ⛳️ For Facebook: The middle school and JV Trapper golf teams competed in Tyndall(JV) and Springfield today. Overall we had 7 place winners today. The most we’ve had in a long time at one meet! Campbell Mogck placed 3rd in the JV girls. For the middle school girls Joanna Fergen placed 10th and Sutton Bueber brought home the 5th place medal. For the middle school boys Andrew Nusz got 15th and placed for the first time in his career!!! Parker Vaith finished 13th, Brigham Rokusek got 5th and Asher Sykora finished 3rd. This finishes up the middle school and JV season. Coaches are all proud of these young golfers. The Trappers have a lot to look forward to the next few years! Keep up the hard work!

🥎 Softball game report from the Yankton P&D online McCook Central-Mont. 5, Scotland-Menno 4 SALEM — Ella DeKnikker’s RBI single in the bottom of the seventh lifted McCook Central-Montrose past Scotland-Menno 5-4 in high school softball action on Monday. Ashtyn DeKnikker went 3-for-3 with a triple and a double for MCM. Cami McGuire had two hits. Ella DeKnikker and Braylee Meyer each had a hit in the victory. Kimberly Kubal had two hits, and Lexie McNinch doubled for Scotland-Menno. Ervin Schrock and Elle Hlavac each had a hit for the Trappers. Zaidee Huls picked up the win, striking out four. Kylie Guthmiller took the loss, recording 12 strikeouts. MCM, 9-2, hosts Kingsbury County today (Tuesday). Scotland-Menno, 9-4, travels to Hurley to face Viborg-Hurley on Wednesday.

Bon Homme 6, Scotland-Menno 0 SCOTLAND — Bon Homme’s Madden Merkwan struck out 11 as the Cavaliers clipped Scotland-Menno 6-0 in club high school baseball action on Sunday in Scotland. Owen Bures doubled and singled for Bon Homme. Merkwan and Cooper Mudder each had two hits. Ethan Wagner and Thomas Kronaizl each had a double. Major Aarstad, Isaiah Crownover and Alex Adler each had a hit in the victory. Four Trappers each had one hit: Erick Buechler, Garret Lehr, Luke Bierle and Riley Keppen. Lehr took the loss, with Buechler striking out three in two innings of relief. Saturday Scotland-Menno 10, Elk Point-Jefferson 5 ELK POINT — Scotland-Menno used a seven-run third inning to claim a 10-5 victory over Elk Point-Jefferson in club high school baseball action on Saturday. Luke Bierle and Kolton Bierle each had three hits for Scotland-Menno. Lane Pavel had two hits. Riley Keppen added a hit in the victory. Brody Van Roekel and Jacob Casper each had two hits for Elk Point-Jefferson. Drew Geary and Luke Swatek each had a hit. Keppen picked up the win, striking out three in his four innings of work. Pavel struck out seven in three shutout innings. Swatek took the loss, striking out three in 2 2/3 innings of work. Kyson Crippen had four strikeouts in 2 2/3 innings of relief.
