Trapper boys basketball report from the online Yankton P&D. Keep working hard Trappers! McCook Cen.-Mont. 61, Scotland-Menno 50 MENNO — McCook Central-Montrose built a 10-point lead after one quarter and kept Scotland-Menno at bay, claiming a 61-50 victory over the Trappers in boys’ basketball action on Monday. Lane Hanisch scored 16 points, and Ben Wiebersick had 14 points, seven assists and three steals for MCM. Andrew Sabers posted four assists and Dawson Dorr added 10 rebounds in the victory. Hunter Yosten led Scotland-Menno with 18 points and seven rebounds. Izayah Ulmer had 10 points, four assists and four steals. Erick Buechler added nine points for the Trappers. MCM, 5-2, hosts Beresford on Friday in Salem. Scotland-Menno, 2-4, hosts Corsica-Stickney on Saturday.

Game time updates for Friday, Jan. 2:
The basketball games at Ethan today will start at 5:00 pm for the JV's. JV girls play in the main gym and JV boys in the auxiliary gym. Varsity girls start at 6:15 pm with boys to follow. The bus will leave Menno at 3:10 and 3:30 from Scotland. Games will be livestreamed on Rustlers Live on YouTube. Go Trappers

Today the Scotland/Menno Trappers are taking on the Ethan Rustlers in a Double Header evening of basketball! The Trappers will travel to Ethan for JV games at 4:30pm, Varsity Girls at 5:45pm, and Varsity Boys at 7:30pm. Good luck today Trappers!

Trappers BBB game report from the Yankton P&D online: Scotland-Menno 54, Tripp-Delmont-Armour 52 SCOTLAND — Scotland-Menno outlasted Tripp-Delmont-Armour 54-52 in boys’ basketball action on Monday. Izayah Ulmer led Scotland-Menno with 18 points and seven steals. Micah Goehring had 11 points and eight rebounds. Hunter Yosten scored eight points, Erick Buechler had 12 rebounds and Jarret Andretta added three assists in the victory. Ashton Koster scored 16 points for TDA, which hit 10 three-pointers in the contest. Grant Wunder posted 11 points. Daylin Kok and Jake Strand each had nine points for the Nighthawks. Scotland-Menno, 2-2, travels to Ethan on Friday. TDA hosts Kimball-White Lake on Jan. 6 in Tripp. TDA won the JV game 33-28.
