The sixth grade English class was busy today debating about the decision made in the short story "The Gift of the Magi" by O. Henry. The teams were debating whether the gifts exchanged by Jim and Della were wise or foolish.
Reindeer Realty was able to sell all of their houses today to the sixth grade class. The descriptive writing was well done. Those taking top prizes were Audrey, Mela, and Ivana.

Boys’ Basketball: Trappers Rally Past Bon Homme 52-49
SCOTLAND — Scotland-Menno rallied from a 42-35 deficit after three quarters to claim a 52-49 victory over Bon Homme in boys’ basketball action on Tuesday.
Izayah Ulmer scored a game-high 29 points and had three steals for Scotland-Menno. Jarret Andretta grabbed seven rebounds, and Hunter Clark added three steals in the victory.
Zach Humpal led Bon Homme with 20 points. Logan Stark had 10 points, nine rebounds and five assists. Madden Merkwan added eight rebounds, three assists and four steals.
Scotland-Menno, 1-1, hosts Hanson on Friday in Menno. Bon Homme, 0-2, hosts Bridgewater-Emery on Thursday.
Scotland-Menno won the JV game 50-25.

Yesterday, the sixth and third grade reading buddies read the book Snowflake Bentley and created snowflakes as an extension of the book. Fun was had by all.
It is Parent's Night for the Trappers! They will be taking on the Bon Homme Cavaliers in Scotland. The evening will start with two Middle School Boys games at 3:45pm and 4:20pm. JV games will be at 5:15pm, Girls Varsity at 6:30pm, and Boys Varsity at 7:45pm. Good luck tonight Trappers!

The high school basketball games at Alcester will be played as follows:
No JV girls game, boys JV at 3:15 (auxiliary gym); varsity girls at 3:30; and varsity boys around 4:45.
One bus--leaving Scotland at 1:00 pm and pick up Menno at 1:20.

The Scotland/Menno middle school boys basketball games have been cancelled for tomorrow at Alcester. We are still planning on playing the high school games at Alcester.. The Trappers JV boys game will start at 4:00, Varsity Girls at 5:15, and Varsity Boys at 6:30. The high school game times could possibly be adjusted .The high school teams will ride one bus, leaving at 1:40 pm from Scotland and 2:00 pm from Menno.

On December 19, we will have a dedication ceremony to honor Jim Sattler. The track in Menno will now be named the "Jim Sattler Track". We would like to invite former Menno football and track alumni and fans to this special occasion.
The ceremony will take place between the girls and boys varsity doubleheader games on Friday, Dec 19 vs Hanson.
The time frame for the dedication is estimated between 7:15 and 7:45 depending on the games.
