The Menno Post Prom is sponsoring a tailgate supper before the football game on Friday, September 18 in Menno. Serving starts at 6:00 pm.

Due to the wet field conditions, we will postpone the MS football game for today with Hanson.

The game will be played tomorrow, Tuesday, Sept. 15 at 4:00 pm in Menno.

The Menno Cheerleaders will be offering free face painting on Friday morning during Breakfast in the Old Gym for any students and staff that are interested! Simple spirit designs only!

There will NOT be a JV football game vs. Hanson on Monday, Sept. 14 due to injuries on the Hanson squad. The middle school game will start at 4:00.

Menno Homecoming Week

Trapper game report from the Mitchell Republic online. Scotland/Menno 34, Hanson 32 MENNO — An eighth and final lead change in a back-and-forth battle came on a 54-yard catch-and-run by Hunter Clark from Jarret Andretta with 1:39 to play, lifting the Trappers to a nine-man football victory on Friday night. Andretta found Clark for two touchdown passes in the game, the other coming in the first half. Micah Goehring scored a pair of rushing touchdowns from 3 and 65 yards, and Lane Pavel had a 3-yard scoring plunge for the Trappers. Andretta finished with 187 yards passing, hitting Clark five times for 178 yards. Goehring finished with 175 yards on 22 carries. Adam Munkvold had nine tackles and two sacks for the Trapper defense. Jason Porth led Hanson with scoring runs of 65 and 10 yards, along with a 21-yard touchdown catch from Jett Jager. It was a 23-yard touchdown scramble by Jager that gave the Beavers a 32-28 lead with eight minutes left, but there was too much time for the Trappers. Hanson also led 16-14 at halftime. Porth finished with 107 yards on 26 carries and Jager had 60 passing yards. Scotland/Menno (2-2) is back in Menno to play Corsica-Stickney on Sept. 18. Hanson (0-3) hosts Gregory on Sept. 18.

Andretta passed for 187 yards and two scores, with Clark catching five passes for 178 yards and two scores for the Trappers. Goehring rushed for 175 yards in the victory. Twenty-five years later, we pause to remember a day that forever changed our nation.

On September 11, 2001, nearly 3,000 innocent people lost their lives. Families lost loved ones. Communities were changed forever. And in the midst of unimaginable fear and uncertainty, ordinary people demonstrated extraordinary courage.

We remember the firefighters, police officers, paramedics, emergency personnel, military members, and countless civilians who ran toward danger when others were running away.

We remember those who gave their lives trying to save others.

We remember the passengers and crew of Flight 93, whose courage prevented an even greater tragedy.

And we remember the service members who, in the years that followed, answered the call to defend our nation and protect the freedoms we hold dear.

A Timeline of September 11, 2001

8:46 a.m. — American Airlines Flight 11 strikes the North Tower of the World Trade Center.

9:03 a.m. — United Airlines Flight 175 strikes the South Tower.

9:37 a.m. — American Airlines Flight 77 strikes the Pentagon.

9:59 a.m. — The South Tower collapses.

10:03 a.m. — United Airlines Flight 93 crashes near Shanksville, Pennsylvania, after passengers and crew attempt to take control of the aircraft.

10:28 a.m. — The North Tower collapses.
