ALCESTER — Multiple area teams finished in first place, including the Centerville girls having multiple first-place finishes in the relays in the Great Plains Conference Track Meet in Alcester on Tuesday.
Scotland-Menno’s Izayah Ulmer won three individual events: the 400 (51.830, 800 (2:07.23) and 1600 (4:57.74). Ulmer also helped the Trappers to victory in the 1600 relay, teaming with Micah Goehring, Mirik Vaith and Lucas Walloch for a clocking of 3:41.80. Goehring also won the triple jump (40-7 1/2).
Irene-Wakonda’s Tristin Llewelyn finished in first place in the boys’ 100 with a time of 11.93. The Eagles’ Cain Healy won the boys’ discus with a distance of 148-1.
Centerville’s Hogan Hybertson finished in first place in the boys’ 110 hurdles with a time of 17.54. Centerville’s Charlie Eide finished first in the boys’ javelin with a distance of 150-1.
Alcester-Hudson’s Jackson Meyer finished in first place in the boys’ 300-meter hurdles with a time of 43.94. Alcester-Hudson’s had another first place finish in the boys’ 400 relay as Darin Dykstra, Tate Braaten, Ethan Brown and Karzen Sommervold finished in first place with a time of 46.81.
Gayville-Volin’s Nate Selchert finished in first place in the boys’ shot put with a distance of 49-3 1/2.
Centerville’s Peyton Hansen finished in first place in the girls’ 800 meters with a time of 2:28.45. And Centerville’s Emery Schubeck finished in first place in the girls’ 100 meters with a time of 15.86.
Irene-Wakonda’s Ava George finished in first place in the girls’ 3200-meter with a time of 12:06.16, and Maryn Lyngstad finished in first place in the girls’ 300 meter hurdles with a time of 49.24.
Centerville’s had three first place finishes in relays: Emery Shubeck, Harper Wattier, Izzie Eide and Niara Christ finished in first place in the 400 relay with a time of 52.53, in the girls’ 1600 relay, Peyton Hansen, Ella Ruter, Eide and Sage Martz with a time of 4:25.69 and Hansen, Martz, Brea Austin and Lydia Austin finished in first place in the girls’ 4x800 meter Relay with a time of 10:09.65.
Centerville’s also had another first-place finish, in the girls’ medley relay, Niara Christ, Eide, Ruter and Austin with a time of 4:39.18.
Alcester-Hudon’s Ayonna Schissel finished first in the girls’ long jump with a mark of 16-1 1/2.
Tonight the Trappers will take on Vermillion at 5:30pm in Scotland! There will only be a varsity game played. Good luck baseball players!

Golf results from Coach Andy Rokusek:
Big day on the course for the Trapper Golf teams today. The Trappers brought home two 1st place medals today! Campbell Mogck won the Girls Junior Varsity Tournament with a score of 52. Brigham Rokusek won the Boys Junior High tournament with a score of 39.
Also placing today for the Trappers ladies were Joanna Fergen with 13th and Sutton Bueber in the 6th place position.
In the boys division Owen Bueber finished in 10th and Asher Sykora claimed the 3rd place medal!
Congrats Trappers!! Keep working hard!

The varsity Trappers had a good day on the links today.
The girls played in Burke where Kailin got 12th place, Macy finished in 9th place and Campbell brought home the 6th place medal. They finished 2nd as a team behind Platte Geddes.
The boys played in Gregory where Brigham Rokusek was the low finisher for the boys with an 89. He missed placing by 2 shots. Erick Buechler (92) and Asher Sykora (94) both had personal best scores as well today.
