Info for Region 5B GBB Tourney:
Menno will be the 8th seed and host #9 seed Freeman Academy/Marion on Monday, Feb. 21 at 7:00 pm. This is a SDHSAA sponsored event and the admission prices are $6.00 for adults and $4.00 for students. No regular season passes will be accepted. Junior class will operate the concession stand. No fundraisers allowed. Pep band will not play. Menno will be the home team and wear white.
General Information:
No noisemakers, banners, signs, or pictures will be allowed.
No hoops or spirit lines will be allowed.
Only varsity cheerleaders will be admitted in uniform.
All decisions of the tournament officials will be final.
Sportsmanship will be impressed upon the adults and students.

Good luck to the Wolves tonight as they travel to Scotland for the last regular season game. JV starts at 6:30. Military appreciation night (military admitted free), FFA will be doing an auction, elementary cheerleaders will be performing at half-time

The dress up for the games Thursday will be Hawaiian theme for Senior Night.

The Et Cetera Shoppe in Freeman is running low on the following clean, gently used clothing: lightweight long-sleeved shirts, cardigans, hoodies, exercise gear and athleisure, lightweight pants, and dresses for chilly spring days. Therefore, the Menno FCCLA Chapter will sponsor a clothing drive on Tuesday, February 15 and Thursday, February 17 from 8 am to 8 pm. Look for a silver-colored Envision parked by the new gym door entrance to drop off the clothing.

There will be HS Quiz Bowl practice every Thursday morning at 7:30 until March 10th.

The Middle School Quiz Bowl Practices will start tomorrow, Wednesday the 16th at 7:45AM in the Library and Thursday the 17th right after school (3:15PM) for those able to come to one or both.

These two men did a wonderful job at the Sioux Falls Robotic Competition. Looking forward to the State Competition on February 26th!!!




Reminder of the Post Prom Bake Sale on Feb. 15th during the DH and that all Juniors need to bring at least two dozen items to the school kitchen by 4pm Tuesday. All items should be ready for sale when they are delivered to school.

The 8th grade Earth Science class is learning about different cloud types according to the shape and altitude. This is a fun project that helps the students build a scale model of different types of clouds and their relative location to each other.

Thank you to the students and staff who donated food during Souper Bowl Week. It was a huge success! Here is what was collected: 1061 packages of ramen noodles, 143 boxes of crackers, 2 graham cracker pie crusts, and 315 cans of soup, vegetables, and fruit. Fifty-three boxes food are being donated to the Bethany Food Pantry in Freeman which serves the communities of Olivet, Menno, and Freeman.

The 2nd graders had a baby shower for their teacher, Mrs. Harris, today!


Menno VEX Robotics Team is back in competition, after a two month off, due to COVID issues at another site. Looking forward on how the team competes in Sioux Falls CTE Academy on Saturday. VEX State competition is at Rapid City Douglas in two weeks!!
