Congratulations to the medal winners at the Freeman Invitational Cross Country Meet yesterday. Ashton was 6th and Erick 15th in Varsity. In JV, Zoe placed 7th. On Monday at Swan Lake, Ashton was 3rd in Varsity, and in JV Hannah was 12th and Ashlynn 14th. Great job runners!!

We've added another JV football game to our schedule. We had two that were cancelled so we picked up one to replace.
JV Football Game—Monday, October 3 vs. Bon Homme at Tyndall
Game time is 4:00. **Game will be 9 man on offense and 11 man on defense.
Menno and Scotland will both drive a bus over to Tyndall (be there at 3:30)
*Scotland will make it home early enough for coronation that evening.
The MS football team will still play Irene-Wakonda at Scotland on Oct. 3 at 4:00.

Mobile Food Pantry: If any family is in need of food, the Feeding South Dakota Mobile Food Pantry will be in Freeman on Friday, September 16 from 12:30-1:30 at the Bethany Mennonite Church back parking lot, located at 509 S Juniper St. distributing food.

If you are interested in becoming a nurse, check out the attached flier from Presentation College in Aberdeen. They are running a “Nurse for a Day” event, three separate days on campus and Sophomores, Juniors and Seniors are invited. This is not a Menno school sponsored event but if you choose to attend you will need to get all your work made up ahead of time.

Students in grades 9-12 interested in FCCLA or students who have been in FCCLA in the past, that would like to be a member for the 2022-2023 school year need to fill out an FCCLA membership form and pay your membership dues. The membership forms are on the table in Mrs. Fischer's office so you will need to stop by to get one. After you fill it out, you can put it under the FACS classroom door. Please do NOT bring these forms back without your dues. FCCLA dues cover national and state membership costs. This year FCCLA dues are going to be $15, and you can make your checks payable to the Menno FCCLA Chapter. ALL dues and memberships forms need to be to Miss Lau by next Tuesday (September 13th). There will be a chapter meeting at a later date. Please be thinking about what you would like to do for your FCCLA projects!

Any FFA members who would like to go to the National FFA Convention in Indianapolis Oct 25th-29th, please sign up in Ms. Haberman's room by Wednesday, Sept 14th. Only 8 students can go; if more than 8 students sign up, there will be applications to attend.

All students in high school going out for oral interp need to see Mrs. Knodel to choose a selection and set up practice times. Please do this by Friday, September 16.
