Menno Veteran’s Day program—thank you to all the veterans for your service to our country. We appreciate everything you’ve done.

Veteran’s Day is a day to stop and reflect on the tremendous bravery and sacrifice that many men and women have given to our great Nation. We honor those who have served in the United States Armed Forces and all they have done to keep us safe and able to live in freedom. It was with great pride that today we celebrated our local veterans at our Veterans Day Program.
The program Master of Ceremonies was National Honor Society President Alana Fergen. Patriotic Pen Essay Winners Lillian Love, Bailey Neuharth, and Justin Gerlach presented their essays. Honorable Mention was given to Emmalyn Heckenlaible and Evelyn Foss. The Voices of Democracy winner William Stokes also presented his speech. Seven Quilts of Valor and Quilts of Honor were presented to local veterans. The Menno High School Band play “God Bless the USA,” and Bender-Rames VFW Post 152 presented the colors.
Afterward, community members gathered and were served coffee and bars by Menno NHS Members. We are incredibly thankful for the support of our community and want to thank all former and active military members for their service! Happy Veterans Day!
