The Menno Middle School Relays schedule and records are on the website/app. The meet will be held on Monday, May 8, field events start at 1;00 and running events at 3:00. MS and HS Track students in grades 6-12 will be out at the track field working and participating in the meet.
Students will NOT be allowed to drive to the track field. All cars must remain parked at the school. Please do not take your vehicle to the track field ahead of time. No scooters, bicycles, golf carts, or motorbikes will be allowed. This applies to free-study students as well as all other students.
Students are expected to work in their designated areas and support the track team. Students who are not behaving will be sent back to school.
Track students in grades 6-12 will eat lunch at 11:10.
ALL other MS and HS students will eat at 11:50
Staff working the meet are to walk with students to the track field. Students and staff should report to their assigned work area when they get to the track complex. Feel free to help in other areas as needed.
The Menno Music Boosters will operate the concession stand.
Students in grades 6-12 who need to get back to the school to ride the bus home are to meet at the track field gate at 3:00 and walk back to school. There will be an announcement over the loudspeaker.
The work list is posted by the water fountain and lunchroom.
Teachers, please check your email and review it with the students in class. Some students may have more than one job so please look over the entire list.
ALL lunch charges must be paid before the last day of school (Friday, May 12). If you do not know your child’s balance, please call the school office.
Students must turn in their semester test waivers and Open Campus Permission slips by Monday, May 8th.
ALL library books are due! Please return library books ASAP. If you're not sure if you have a book, check the list by the water fountain, or check with Mrs. Wollman in the library. Thanks!
Awards Hour will be held at 8:20 a.m. on Tuesday, May 9 in the gym. Students will be receiving academic, athletic, and fine arts awards. Scholarship winners will also be announced. The public is invited. Following that we will use the two-hour late class schedule.
Mrs. Klaudt's Kindergarten class must have the fastest phone in the West. For the second time they won Name-That-Tune Friday when they were first to call in and ID a song from the movie Toy Story. It didn't matter that none of them were born when movie debuted in 1995 - they all shouted the answer after the first note! Happy Friday, everyone!

The track teams will be having a fundraiser meal this Sunday from 5:00-8:00 in the old gym. They will be serving brats, burgers, and salads. Free will offering.

**Any student taking part in athletics is required to have a physical on file in the office before taking part in any practice or game time. Attached in the daily announcements s the SDHSAA physical form (2 pages) for the 2023-2024 school year. This form will need to be on file in the office before taking part in practices this fall.

Students in grades 5-8 will be participating in the music contest in Freeman this Friday, May 5th. Attached in the daily announcements is a parent letter, bus schedule, contest schedule and list of students performing in the vocal ensembles. Please look over the information and let Mrs. Unruh or Mr. Bray know if you can help chaperone a bus or have any additional questions.
There will be a high school boys basketball meeting for current 7th through 11th graders in Mr. Bruckner's room Thursday right after school.
There will be a FFA Meeting at 12:15p.m. in the Ag shop tomorrow, Thursday May 4th . All FFA members need to attend this meeting!!!

The fifth grade class delivered blankets and May Day baskets to the Menno Olivet Care Center yesterday. Three lucky residents received tie blankets that the fifth grade class made for them.
