Congratulations to the S/M Trappers middle school football team on their wins today in Scotland. The Trappers beat Avon 26-6 and then beat TDA/AC/DC 22-6 to put us at 9-0 on the season. Way to go boys and coaches. 🏈🏈🌟

Scotland/Menno 62, TDAACDC 16 ARMOUR — Big nights from Izayah Ulmer and Mirik Vaith powered Scotland/Menno past Tripp-Delmont/Armour/Andes Central/Dakota Christian in nine-man football action on Friday night. Ulmer passed for three long touchdowns, with scoring strikes of 70 and 57 yards to Hunter Clark and a 60-yarder to Erick Buechler. Meanwhile, Vaith rushed for scores covering 10, 44 and 23 yards. Hunter Yosten and Ryder Hauck each added one rushing touchdown for the Trappers. Both Thunderhawk scores came on big plays, as DaMarshay Webbs got them on the board with an 82-yard kickoff return touchdown following Scotland/Menno’s second score. Later in the first half, Jamian Medicine Horn scored on a 69-yard sprint. A date with Burke is up next for both teams, as Scotland/Menno (2-2) hosts the Cougars on Sept. 19, while TDAACDC (0-4) is idle before visiting the Cougars on Sept. 26.

Today the MS Scotland/Menno Trappers host a Jamboree in Scotland! The Scotland/Menno MS Football Jamboree this Saturday, September 13, starting at 10:00 a.m. in Scotland is a football fundraiser so admission will be charged ($5.00—adults, and $3.00—students). Students and staff (unless working) and those 62 and over and veterans will be charged admission, and passes/activity tickets will not be honored. Good luck today Trappers!

Today the Junior High Volleyball Team is heading to Freeman Academy for the Cornbelt Conference Junior High Tournament! The Wolves will play their first match at 9:45am against Canistota. Good luck today!

The sixth grade students were able to take some time this morning for flashlight reading under the Northern Lights (artificial) in Mrs. Knodel's room. They enjoyed the opportunity to just sit and read a good book.

Tonight Trapper Football hits the road to Armour for a Friday Night Lights match-up against the TDA/AC/DC Thunderhawks! Kickoff will be at 7pm. Trapper Fans should sit on the south side of the bleachers. The Thunderhawk Boosters will be serving a tailgate meal of hot dogs and hamburgers before the game - see image for more details. The Wolves varsity played a tough match tonight against Ethan but lost 3-0. Keep working hard ladies and keep improving each night. You can do it!

Congrats to the JV Wolves VB team on their big win tonight over Ethan. They won 2-0. Set scores were 25-20 and 25 12. Good job ladies!

The 6th grade Wolves played a shortened match with Ethan and lost the first and tied the second. Go Wolves!!

The 7th graders lost to Ethan 2-0 today. The girls are showing improvement each match.

The 8th grade VB team hosted Ethan today and lost 2-0. Keep working hard girls!

The MS Football Jamboree scheduled for Saturday, Sept. 13 at Scotland will now have the three teams playing games due to some teams not being able to play.

Another great day of running for the Wolves at the Freeman Academy invite. Zoe 2nd Varsity, Emma 2nd, Leah 4th, & Jef 10th JV. Jaeger 1st, Egan 10th, Valerie 3rd, Savanah 6th & Ivana 7th in JH.

Our medal finishers at the Scotland meet were Zoe (18th Varsity), Leah (17th JV), Emma (20th JV), Valerie (7th JH) and Savanah (12th JH). All of our runners earned a Gatorade for a job well done yesterday!
